A Doodledong Collection and the Cookie Fairy

A Doodledong Collection and the Cookie Fairy
I don’t know exactly what a Doodledong collection is — but I have a picture. Here you go.

And here is the originator of the collection. Now if he could just tell me what it all means….

This is from the same boy who somehow got the idea that if he put a button under my pillow the next morning we would find out that we had had a visit from the Cookie Fairy. We did place the button under the pillow but found that the Cookie Fairy didn’t come to see us. I suggested that perhaps the snow had hindered her. I kind of think that it is sweet that he actually thought that it was a possibility that a Cookie Fairy would come.

Oh, to believe in the possibilities of what might be as a 5 year-old does.

I Really Like

I Really Like
this quilt. The lady who made it also has a fabric shop with lots of pretty, pretty stuff.

I like to dream about doing a quilt. So far, I’ve done nothing in pursuing the actual doing — unless you count lots of fabric browsing. Maybe I’ll just stick to that.

Snow Day

Snow Day
Growing up, I would have written the above title like SNOW DAY!!!!. But, now, as a grown up who gets to stay home everyday, snow day is just another day during which I look for stuff (boots) and do laundry — with the exception of beautiful snow out the window and beautiful excited little people inside with me.

E: Mommy, I want to go outside now!!
Me: Okay, well, first we have to get your snow gear on.
E: Snow Beer?! Laughs.
M: Not snow beer, silly, snow gear.

Snow beer sounds good though. Doesn’t it?
