When In Doubt, Bring Percussion

When In Doubt, Bring Percussion
My baby still climbs into bed with me nearly every morning, even though he is a 5 year-old now. And, I wouldn’t think of stopping him even though he is about as gentle as an energetic kangaroo. This morning, however, I was wondering if I shouldn’t put a stop to the whole morning visit thing of his.

Why?

Because this morning he brought bongo drums with him.

Enough said. Right?

Some Barlows Go Down a Hill

Some Barlows Go Down a Hill

Fun, fun, fun!

Look at the beautiful Alpine wilderness that we found.

Sledding with Dad makes you go faster.

What? A parking lot in our Alpine wilderness? Oh, yes, we weren’t in the wilderness, we were on a hill by a Sam’s Club. This has its perks, though, I’ll have you know. Nothing like sledding to the cheers of the guys from the automotive department. It is also awesome when they see you fall down like the clutz that you are.

One way of going down the hill. Who really needs a sled anyway?

As Ma Beaut would say, “This boy is all the way past tired to TARD.” (Try to put on a northern Alabama accent for the full effect of the above sentence.)

Oh, the anticipation.

Question: What is Newton’s 2nd Law?

Question: What is Newton’s 2nd Law?
Answer: As Long As There Is Harmony, There Will Be Sparkle?

And then he looked at me hopefully, with a little smile on his face. Like, this could be right, right?

You know, maybe I should have titled this post If I Pulled Out My Hair in Frustration I Would Have Been Rendered Bald Long Ago.

Or maybe Sixth Grade Science — Who NEEDS You?

Or When Choosing Between Red Hot Coal Walking or Sixth Grade Science Tutoring, The Choice is EASY.

At least I got a laugh out of it. Sparkles and physics, hilarious together.

A Doodledong Collection and the Cookie Fairy

A Doodledong Collection and the Cookie Fairy
I don’t know exactly what a Doodledong collection is — but I have a picture. Here you go.

And here is the originator of the collection. Now if he could just tell me what it all means….

This is from the same boy who somehow got the idea that if he put a button under my pillow the next morning we would find out that we had had a visit from the Cookie Fairy. We did place the button under the pillow but found that the Cookie Fairy didn’t come to see us. I suggested that perhaps the snow had hindered her. I kind of think that it is sweet that he actually thought that it was a possibility that a Cookie Fairy would come.

Oh, to believe in the possibilities of what might be as a 5 year-old does.
