My New Necklace
Well, unbeknownst to me, my youngest son is a jewelry designer. Last Thursday, he came into the kitchen with some Mardi Gras beads that he instructed me to tie around my neck. But that wasn’t all, oh no. Then he added the pink carabiner to really set the whole thing off. Then he wanted to take a picture.
“Lean over dat way, Mommy. Dat’s a very pretty neck-a-lace!”
He is such a funny little boy. Last week he also wrote a letter to the Easter Bunny. And lately he has taken to tucking in “babies” with me while I’m sleeping. One morning last week I woke up to find three of these babies with me. The babies were: Fender (the robot), a stuffed rabbit like the one from Pat the Bunny, and a miniature pumpkin that has miraculously survived since October.

*grin* There is just. . . something. . . about the youngest. This morning my youngest climbed in bed with me to snuggle, and went for “belly” — my bellybutton, his imaginary friend since he was two or three. Crazy, sweet kids.

That is so sweet. Enjoy these times of sweetness. Joanie
