My Belt
Well, here it is, as promised in the post yesterday.

And, as you can see in this picture, it’s reversible.

This is one of those rare sewing projects that is both inexpensive, fun and quick to make.
Next project: skirt.

Pretty Ribbon
Okay, here is a link to a great ribbon store. They have the largest selection at the best price that I could find on the internet. Why was I looking for ribbon? Well, I’ve always liked these ribbon belts but am not willing to pay the price. So I made one for 10 bucks. I’ll post pictures tomorrow.

Contagious
So, last night, Jon and I played a game of Scrabble with our two middle boys, N9 and C7. C7 was on my team. He is such a funny little boy. Most of the time, he would either be rearranging letters before I had a chance to figure out what we were doing or giving me many, many smooches. He is a very passionate little boy. He is also a very detached little boy. I could describe his interesting personality all day. Anyway, during one of these bouts of kissing while Jon and N9 were taking their turn at Scrabble, I remarked to C7 that I hoped that he wasn’t contagious — since I was getting all of his sweet kisses. “Contagious?”, he said. He mulled it over for a minute before saying, “What does contag-you mean?”
I’m sure that he would have asked me the meaning of contag-we, contag-me, and contag-them had we not all been consumed by laughter.
He is far from ordinary, that is for sure.

I Got a Holy Cow
On Sunday, our friend Mr. Jim took us out to a pub to eat after church. This is a favorite destination for all of us….the boys like the food and we like the beer and the fact that kids eat free. So, as we were leaving the restaurant, the whole family filed past a booth on the way to the door. Jon and Mr. Jim first, and then the rest of the boys with me bringing up the end of the line. Well, bless the man who was eating in that booth. Maybe he was on his second or third beer or maybe he just lost count of blonde boys as we passed. But, by the time I walked by he looked up at me and said, with a bit of a stunned expression on his face, “Holy Cow!!” I didn’t ask him what the exclamation was about. It was pretty obvious.
I guess that four looks like more than four when you have all that similarity to distract you?
