Repeat After Me

Repeat After Me
My 3 year old has started repeating everything that I say. Sometimes he does it right after I say something, which is funny, but sometimes, he pulls out his repitition later. Which is even funnier. So, the other day we were driving to the library when, out of the blue, he says….

E: You’re crazy, Mama.
Me: Do you think I’m crazy, E? (Thinking to myself that he is right.)
E: Yeah, you’re crazy Mama.
Me: We’re all a little crazy, sweet boy.
E: I’m worried about you, Mama.
Me: What?! Don’t worry about your Mama.
E: Okay.

So, he has been listening when I’ve been calling myself “crazy”. Great.

  1. That is too cute. My kids know all my faults too and so it comforts me a little. I am a bit crazy too. 🙂

  2. That reminds me of a story that your Aunt Elizabeth use to tell on Kyle and Laura. She use to tell them when they were small that they were driving her crazy. Well one day they were driving down to Wetumpka for some reason or another and passed the women’s prison along the way when Kyle who was probably just a little older than E piped up from the back seat.. Momma is that where you going when we drive you crazy?… I can’t drive past there today without thinking of that and laughing. Little things that they say when their E’s age bring treasured memories forever… Love ya Cuz.

  3. Hello Ann,

I found your weblog through a friend from State. I am also a friend of Kathleen’s… Anyway, we have a 9 month old son and I would like to ask you a couple of questions concerning autism, if you would not mind. I’m not sure how to get in contact with you…could you email me so that I can email you privately? Thanks! Kat
