Y’all know that song, “Ooh-oo Child” by The Five Stairsteps? That is my theme song now. Who knew that going to third grade could be so rocky for some of those among us? But then, almost everything is harder for some of us…for him, in particular. Sigh.

prayers from this former 3rd grade teacher…
It’s a transition year. Not as big as K->1 or elementary to middle, but it’s still a big change.
Things will get easier.

Ann,
Just read Jon’s blog. You are all in our prayers. Having 4 kids with 3 in school is not easy, whatever the circumstances. Just the logistics of getting everyone where they need to be at the right time is a challenge. Add to the mix a child with special needs, and the challenge has to feel overwhelming. We will pray that God gives you wisdom as you evaluate the situation and decide what is best.

Thanks, Jennifer. I’m sure that everything will eventually work out. That is what I’m telling myself right now, anyway.
