annie blog

Well, what do you think about this new design? I confess that it’s going to take some getting used to. I am really accustomed to seeing my stripes and antique blog look, but dear Jon said I needed to change and he set this up for me.

I’m going to tinker with the whole thing and add some links back in. I’m also going to try to organize a bit and get the recipes all together, at least.

Anyway, I want to thank you for reading and for visiting and for commenting. Thank you for saying that you like my blog and my ramblings about food and autism and my crazy boys and the pool and the Goodwill.

Y’all are great!

Happy Monday to you.

  1. This is great. Hilarious, even. I just typed in your blog address to search for a recipe, and since I usually see your posts through a feed reader, I hadn’t been here for a while. Just before it loaded, I thought, “It’ll be comforting to see those same stripes. She just keeps things as they are. Not too many people do that these days, especially on blogs I’ve been following for years.”

And then I noticed the new look! I do like it and I’m glad you have a husband who stretches you to try new things ’cause mine is the exact opposite. 🙂

  2. Might want to update your RSS feed link – I think those links have changed.

  3. I like it very much! If I could have you change anything it would be to make the font color a shade darker…don’t know if that’s possible, even if you wanted to, and it’s not a big deal.

  4. Thanks, Allison!

Jon, I’ll check on the RSS feed, once I figure out what that is… 🙂

Ruth, thanks, and I’ll look into making the font darker. Which font, the orange or the grayish font — or both?

  5. Gotcha, Ruth. Thanks and I’ll see what I can do. 🙂

  6. Hmmm. I don’t adapt well to changes. When I followed the link here from Jon’s blog, I first thought he had made a mistake!!

I suppose I’ll get used to it. 🙂

  7. I like it–very now in the blog world. For anyone who wants the very old school, very poorly designed blog, they can always stop by the retroblog that is mine!

I also enjoyed seeing that you are using your crockpot. I laughed when you confessed to being a crockpot snob, as, I quietly suspected that since you are so much more of a real cook than me. That being said, I have a couple great crockpot standard recipes that are very good and almost foody–with wine in the recipe and everything! Now that I have stopped by here, I am inspired to share them sometime soon.
