Margaritas, Anyone?

Margaritas, Anyone?

I need help, y’all. Specifically, I need someone to point me to a good recipe for margaritas. I’ve seen the mixes in stores, of course, but I was hoping that y’all might know of a good place to start looking for a recipe to make the drink without a mix.

The reason I’m even looking for a recipe is that I came home from my spring break trip to Alabama with this pretty bottle. Isn’t it lovely? My photo doesn’t even do it any sort of justice. It still has tequila in it, too. So, now you know why I’m looking for a recipe.

Great, now I’m craving mexican food.

I hope that y’all are having a pleasant Tuesday!

The Day After Spring Break

The Day After Spring Break

needs music, I think.

Here’s a get up and go song, called “Me, me, me” from the band Middle Brother. It’s upbeat rock from an indie band formed from three other bands. I dig the energy in this song.

This next one is my youngest son’s favorite song right now. I shouldn’t be surprised, really, that he likes rock and blues so much since he’s been hearing it for his entire life. I’d like to see this guy live. It’s Tab Benoit singing “Shelter Me”.

Okay, y’all, let’s sally forth and slay our Monday, shall we?

We Returned From Sunny

We Returned From Sunny

spring-kissed Alabama yesterday.

Yellow Rose of Texas in my parents’ back yard, three days ago

So, of course it makes sense that we’ve got lots of snow falling today here.

My snowy Missouri backyard, today

The upside is that I’m in no rush to get the shorts and t-shirts washed for next week…..or maybe I should.

This is St. Louis, after all, and for all I know we’ll have 80 degrees two days from now.

I hope y’all are having a good Saturday!
