The Meeting Went Well

The Meeting Went Well
Not that I didn’t think that it would. The folks at my son’s school are all so nice. But, not only do they think that he *already* meets the requirements for the school that we want to send him to next year — they also think that the school , itself, is an excellent choice for him. Hooray, Hooray, HOORAY!!

It’s Monday

It’s Monday
Yes! I know what day it is.

I’m kidding, anyway, sorry that I’ve been away. I’ve been reading and thinking autism for the last few weeks and I did a little baking, too. My talk on autism was Friday night and I think (hope) that it went well. I’m not a public speaker, by any means, and I wish that I had recorded the speech so that I could replay it later for myself and make sure that it made sense, at least. So I’m done reading and talking autism for today. Tomorrow I get to think and talk about it again because we go to school for my oldest son’s IEP meeting. So I’m mildly apprehensive about that. Meanwhile, my house looks like it was hit by a tornado that thoughtfully wrecked the place while strewing paper and dog hair everywhere, so, you know, I’ve got stuff to do.

Did I mention that Jon bought me a poster? Yep. He posted a picture of it below. I may not have found out what I want to be when I grow up, but I’ve now got my mantra covered, anyway.

Happy Monday.

Your Input, Please
In a few weeks, I’m going to give a little informational talk to a women’s group from my church. What am I going to talk about? Well, I was wondering if you could help me with that. The topic of my talk is autism. And, yes, I really don’t need any additional information on that — I mean, I could go on for days as it is — but I’m wondering what other people would like to know. The amount of information about autism has gone up tremendously over the past few years. Just last week, Oprah did a show about it. But, you know, there is a lot of information out there and I’d just like to know what people would like to hear about. So, if you could leave your question(s) in the comment section of this post I’d be very grateful.
