I Hear

I hear the wind blowing in the trees.

I hear water splashing in the pool.

I hear doors closing.

I hear handcuffs rattling.

I hear bubbles bubbling.

I hear coggles coggling as they turn together.

I hear footsteps stepping on the floor.

I hear books that can not be read because all the pages have been torn out.

No matter what I hear, I always hear you.

Y’all I Apologize Sincerely for These…

Y’all I Apologize Sincerely for These…
blog advertisements. I mean really. I have no idea what is up with them. I’ll get in touch with those in charge and tell them what I think….meanwhile, well, I don’t know about what to do meanwhile but hopefully they’ll be gone by tomorrow. Sorry if they offend any sensibilities…

Wacky Poetry From J

Wacky Poetry From J
J brought home his poetry book from the past school year yesterday. Ah, it’s a gold mine. Do you need a chuckle today? Then read on.

Synonym Poem

Amphibian-
Frog lizard alligator and crocodiles
These creatures are reptiles.

Absorbent-
Permeable, porous, pervious and spongy.
No one to play with, I am lonely.

Abracadabra-voodoo, magic charm, spell
You can spell, but I do it well.

Greeting-
Good afternoon, good morning, good evening.
We had a good meeting.

My Useless Poem

A flower without water

Pigs without mud

Penguins without flippers

Bees without stingers

Earth without countries

Ducks without ducklings

Flies not munching

But tell me why it’s your dream not mine.

I Have Observed

I Have Observed
That mothers of boys who don’t really look where they are stepping should at all costs avoid wearing long skirts with elastic waists. Why, do you say, should this be avoided? Well, imagine that a boy steps on a skirt and mother doesn’t know until she has stepped in the other direction. I much prefer wearing my skirt than picking it up off the ground. Especially as one who wears long skirts to cover up, being accidently de-skirted by one’s child is really too much.

That drinking wine at dinner really lessens my ambition to do anything worthwhile after dinner. Like walk on my treadmill, fold laundry, wash dishes,…..funny, it doesn’t interfere with reading magazines, surfing the internet, or reading books. Perhaps I should defer drinking my wine until after all my work is done? It is worth consideration.

That counting down the days that remain on the school calendars of one’s children is sort of a negative way to start the summer. My inclination of viewing it as sort of a vacation (mine) coming to a close as their holiday begins is wrong, wrong, wrong. So today, the first thing on my list is to get my head straight about this…..

Maybe I can get Eliza to come pay me a visit. She could bring her energy up here and advise my on all of my difficulties, cook us some fabulous food, give me pointers on my appearance and, if need be yell at my dog a little. Of course, the dog has changed, but that won’t matter to her.
