In all, we had five of them.  And now, they have lost the beautiful orange color and have changed to sort of an ecru in addition to looking really ragged.  I couldn&#8217;t find any information on this type of growth anywhere.  I did, in the process of looking, find out lots of things about fungi that I didn&#8217;t know before.  I think that they are incredibly beautiful, in a sort of creepy way.  I really hope that I have made a new discovery, because it would be my pleasure to name a fungus.  Wouldn&#8217;t that be cool?  When naming a fungus, you really have to do it right.  I mean with <a href=\"http:\/\/botit.botany.wisc.edu\/Toms_fungi\/june99.html\">Dog&#8217;s Vomit Slime Mold<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/botit.botany.wisc.edu\/Toms_fungi\/oct2000.html\">Witch&#8217;s Butter<\/a> to compete with&#8230;..how about &#8220;McGregor&#8217;s Orange&#8221;(to describe the cabbage shape and the color)?  Yep.
