My boys were let out of school at 1:00 because of the snow. I happened to be the lunchroom volunteer, so I was there to drive them home. Winter wonderland, wacky weather. The lunchroom volunteering went well, the only thing I did wrong was to give pears to one child who had only asked for mixed vegetables. He was too polite to tell me that I had made a mistake and he was at the table eating before I noticed what I had done. I’m learning a thing or two while helping out in the lunchroom. And I’m glad to help the school. And it is probably good for me to get out of the house. And I get to wear a baseball cap instead of a hairnet.
