{"id":3761,"date":"2009-03-08T16:13:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-08T16:13:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-03-23T04:25:28","modified_gmt":"2017-03-23T04:25:28","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.annbarlow.com\/?p=3761","title":{"rendered":"Walking With J"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Walking With J<\/b><br \/>\nNow that the weather is getting nicer I&#8217;ve been walking to get my oldest at school each day.  We then walk to my youngest son&#8217;s school to pick him up before running carpool for the other boys.  <\/p>\n<p>This is beneficial for both of us &#8212; we need the exercise.  It is also great because I get experience all of his delightfully wacky banter on the way.  He isn&#8217;t the most enthusiastic walker.  He knows that we have a van and wonders why we aren&#8217;t using it.  But, thankfully, he likes to eat, and so if I bring him a small treat he stops complaining about having to walk.  <\/p>\n<p>But, that doesn&#8217;t keep him from saying things like this:<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/auto_images\/hires\/img79801236546211.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/auto_images\/lowres\/img79801236546211.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\n&#8220;What are the chances of you carrying me?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, since he weighs only 20-odd pounds less than I do, I went into all the reasons why I couldn&#8217;t carry him.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, especially when we look at how he stacks up with his brothers&#8230;.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/auto_images\/hires\/img79851236546591.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/auto_images\/lowres\/img79851236546591.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And how tall he is compared to his 6 foot tall father&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/auto_images\/hires\/img79871236546655.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/auto_images\/lowres\/img79871236546655.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, after my long-winded explanation about the chances of me carrying  him under any circumstances, he said, &#8220;So&#8230;..not good?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Way to sum it up, my son.<br \/>\nI think that he&#8217;s going to be a big one.<br \/>\nHeaven help us.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Walking With J Now that the weather is getting nicer I&#8217;ve been walking to get my oldest at school each day.
