Last Night Was Interesting <\/b>
\nLast night was interesting.
\nJon was working late.
\nOldest son wasn’t feeling well. I could tell because he wasn’t hungry.
\nHis being hungry is almost on the same level with the earth’s rotation.
\nBut not quite.
\nSecond oldest had a migraine.
\nA bad one.
\nThe kind where light hurts.
\nThe kind where noise hurts.
\nWhich is a problem when your older brother is screaming.
\nScreaming loud and long about his stomach.
\nDo you know how difficult it is to guide a 12 year old who is as big as you are?
\nWho isn’t listening to reason.
\nWho isn’t aiming at anything.
\nWho isn’t communicating except by moaning loudly.
\nThis parenting thing just doesn’t let up, you know.
\nOldest is feeling a little better today.
\nSecond oldest is tired but his head is better.
\nMy pile of laundry is nearly as tall as my washing machine.
\nAnd I wish that I was kidding about this — but I’m not.
\nOne more thing, my second oldest, the migraine sufferer, didn’t turn on the light in the bathroom while locating his toothbrush last night.
\nSince light was so painful.
\nGuess who’s toothbrush he used by mistake?
