{"id":2240,"date":"2013-04-27T22:16:38","date_gmt":"2013-04-27T22:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.annbarlow.com\/?p=2240"},"modified":"2013-04-27T22:31:56","modified_gmt":"2013-04-27T22:31:56","slug":"two-songs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.annbarlow.com\/?p=2240","title":{"rendered":"The Wild Feathers and Caitlin Rose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey y&#8217;all! \u00a0I hope that everyone is having a good Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Here are two musical acts that I&#8217;ve enjoyed recently.<\/p>\n<p>The first is a band called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewildfeathers.com\">The Wild Feathers<\/a>. \u00a0I originally heard this song, <em>The Ceiling<\/em>, on the radio. \u00a0I Soundhounded to try and learn what it was but Soundhound didn&#8217;t know. \u00a0So, after some looking, I discovered the band and the song. \u00a0This is a new band, sort of, they formed in 2010, and they have a debut album coming out on August 6th.<\/p>\n<p>I really like the way this song sounds and I want to hear more from the album. \u00a0For those of y&#8217;all who don&#8217;t happen to live in Podunk (like me&#8230;I love it, but it is Podunk times 2), you might even be able to catch them on tour this summer. \u00a0I think that they&#8217;re opening for Dylan. \u00a0Now, that would be a concert.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hOjrhYNP0rQ\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can get this song and one more for free at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewildfeathers.com\/\">their website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Second song is by Caitlin Rose. It&#8217;s called <em>Menagerie<\/em> and is an earworm for me&#8230;so y&#8217;all have been forewarned. I was listening to it earlier and Jon walked in and said that it reminded him of a Loudon Wainwright song. Sort of in the <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/q51incm4hKA\">Grey in L.A. <\/a>vein. That&#8217;s high praise.
