I hope that y’all are having a good January and that you are not about to float away, as we here in Mississippi are. \u00a0Sometimes, I wonder if the rain will ever stop. \u00a0I know it will, but when, well, that’s the question. \u00a0My boys are hoping for snow….I think that hope will go unfulfilled. \u00a0But, I told them to hope, anyway.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the boys, they are doing really well. \u00a0They had a great Christmas and New Year this year. \u00a0It was different for us, since we live so much closer to our families now. \u00a0It was so nice to see everyone and to get a chance to be home some, as well.<\/p>\n
Speaking of Christmas, over the break, Charlie got a snake as a present. \u00a0(Yikes, y’all!) \u00a0 He is a beautiful orange snake and his name is Robert. \u00a0So, \u00a0if we’re counting, \u00a0that’s 5 human males, a bird (male), a dog (male) and a male reptile…and me. \u00a0Someone is outnumbered.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the outnumbered someone, I just got my hair cut. \u00a0Actually, it has been a couple of weeks. \u00a0But, the gal cut it dry (as they should do for curly hair) and I ended up with getting more off than I was planning. \u00a0It was a great thing, though, because I like it. \u00a0And, doing my hair is even easier than before — which was already like falling off a log. \u00a0Since it is already a lot shorter, I was thinking of getting it even a little shorter and doing a bob like Michelle Dockery. \u00a0What do you think? \u00a0I’m thinking, yes. \u00a0But we’ll see. \u00a0All I know is that I need to get it done B.T.J.C. (Before The Jowls Cometh). \u00a0Because, yes, they cometh (eventually, someday), and I don’t know how they’d look with a bob.<\/p>\n

Speaking of Michelle Dockery, what do y’all think of the new season of Downton Abbey? I don’t know, yet. \u00a0I have high hopes that the writers will manage to keep a handle on the whole story. \u00a0It just seems to get sort of unwieldy, \u00a0I think. \u00a0But, they can do it, I know. \u00a0Creative people.<\/p>\n Speaking of creative people, I live with several. \u00a0For instance, my youngest son comes up with something new every day. \u00a0Yesterday, he got in the car after school telling me about a movie that he was going to make called Pirates Of the Classroom<\/em>. \u00a0I don’t recall all of the details, but I know that it featured aliens. \u00a0He also got into the thought of having a marble tournament over the past weekend. \u00a0He handled all of it — from building the ring, to finding and naming<\/strong> all of the marbles…my favorite name of the bunch was Fandango.<\/p>\n So, that’s a little catchup ramble on what’s been going on.<\/p>\n Tomorrow I’ll be back with a recipe for Spinach Salad with Farro, Bacon and Pecans<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0So, please come back for that.<\/p>\n Y’all have a good Wednesday!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I don’t know if we’ve met.
