Summer is almost here — it is beating on the door, really, since all the boys have only 2 or so days left. \u00a0There is just something about the end of the school year. \u00a0Their excitement is like a hum in the air.<\/p>\n
We’ve no great plans for the summer. \u00a0Just the pool, Alabama, Mississippi, the pool, the pool, the pool. \u00a0So, basically, our favorite kind of summer plans.<\/p>\n
It opens today. \u00a0I must go buy a vat of sunscreen for my pale children and my pale self. \u00a0By August, only one of us will still be pale. \u00a0Guess who?<\/p>\n
Anyway, I saw a few things this week that I thought that you might like.<\/p>\n
This needlework <\/a>seen hanging over the bed in the first image of this house tour on Design*Sponge. \u00a0The homeowner said his grandmother made it by just designing as she went. \u00a0Stream of consciousness needlework, I guess. \u00a0I think this is right up my alley. \u00a0Maybe it’ll be something I will do between reading books and counting to 4 at the pool.<\/p>\n This is a beautiful, beautiful sandwich<\/a>. \u00a0I want one.<\/p>\n I’m reading this book, At Home on the Range<\/a>. \u00a0Absolutely delightful. \u00a0I was reading it last night and James kept asking me, “You’re laughing at a cookbook?” \u00a0Yes. \u00a0Its author is one of those rare souls who falls into the Force of Nature category. \u00a0Wonderful.<\/p>\n Happy Saturday, y’all, and happy weekend, too!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I hope that this finds all of you having a good weekend.
