I sure hope that y&#8217;all had a nice day with your family.<\/p>\n<p>This Mother&#8217;s Day, I received some beautiful lilies and a pretty little plant in a homemade pot.  My 12 year old son wrote an encomium for me for today.  I&#8217;m not allowed to share it, though.  I wish that I could because it was lovely.  My youngest son made a book for me.  It was hilarious.  In it he thanked me for teaching him to snap his pants and told me he thought me intelligent since I &#8220;knew all about the wether&#8221;.  (That is his spelling of weather, by the way.)  Finally, my oldest son wrote me a poem that is equal parts sweet and self-interested.  Which sums him up well.  <\/p>\n<p>Here it is:<\/p>\n<p>My Mother&#8217;s Day Poem<\/p>\n<p>Dear Mother,<br \/>\nYou&#8217;re beautiful,<br \/>\nEach day I love you more.<br \/>\nYou always know what&#8217;s best<br \/>\nand what you have in store.<br \/>\nI won&#8217;t be mean to you anymore,<br \/>\nAnd I know just the thing.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ll check the show times for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwantcandy.com\/\">Hop<\/a><br \/>\nAnd see which time will ring.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/auto_images\/hires\/img38851279256537.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/auto_images\/lowres\/img38851279256537.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These busters&#8230;I&#8217;m glad that they&#8217;re mine.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Mother&#8217;s Day to all of the mothers who read this blog.
