Baked Bean Dreams<\/b><\/p>\n
are what I had last night. I had this dream that I was cooking baked beans, my alarm clock would ring (in my crazy dream state I thought it was my kitchen timer) I would turn it off, and the whole crazy dream would start over again. As a result, I woke up 45 minutes later than usual and proceeded to a kitchen that had precious little free counter space for me to make sack lunches and breakfast.<\/p>\n
I guess having baked bean dreams and a disaster of a house is a small price to pay for our feast turning out so well. It was organized chaos, to be sure, since we had almost a hundred extra people turn up, but it was also great. We were bursting at the seams last night and we couldn’t have been happier about it. You know how I said I sincerely hoped that all of the chairs in the gym would be filled? Well, they were, and then some. We did not run out of food, YAY! We also didn’t run out of sanity, because we had some of the best folks who came from sister churches to help keep the whole thing going.<\/p>\n
What a blast! What a blessing.<\/p>\n
Okay, I’m going to scoot because my laundry pile is truly scary and I’ve got miles to go still putting this house back together.<\/p>\n
