Margaritas, Anyone?
I need help, y’all. Specifically, I need someone to point me to a good recipe for margaritas. I’ve seen the mixes in stores, of course, but I was hoping that y’all might know of a good place to start looking for a recipe to make the drink without a mix.
The reason I’m even looking for a recipe is that I came home from my spring break trip to Alabama with this pretty bottle. Isn’t it lovely? My photo doesn’t even do it any sort of justice. It still has tequila in it, too. So, now you know why I’m looking for a recipe.
Great, now I’m craving mexican food.
I hope that y’all are having a pleasant Tuesday!

My sister had a recipe for frozen ones that used a thing of frozen limeade, tequila and triple sec.

Brian is the bar tender in our house, but I do know we NEVER use those mix thingys…and that you should be able to easily find something yum! Enjoy!!

I make frozen ones with 1/3 of the blender full of ice, frozen limeade, 1/2 the limeade can of tequila, 1/3 of the limeade can of triple sec, any fresh fruit like raspberries or mango or strawberries you feel like, and then more ice until the blender is full.

Thanks, recipe givers! I’ll try some and let y’all know what works for us. I’m shooting for a not-so-sweet but really refreshing margarita like I recently had at a local restaurant.

I’m just now catching up on blogs. Sorry this is too late, but you absolutely must try the Cooks Illustrated recipe for margaritas at least once. They take time (like a day to sit), but there is nothing in the world like them.
