I Need to Abstain From Crafty Readings

I Need to Abstain From Crafty Readings
but I just can’t. Case in point: Denyse Schmidt Quilts: 30 Colorful Quilt and Patchwork Projects that I got from my local library. I just love everything in it. I mean, I love Denyse Schmidt fabrics and some of her commercially available quilts but had never seen this book before. Check out this cute apron. Or what about this skirt(scroll to pg. 80). Not to mention the beautiful quilts mentioned — lovely, all of them.

Like I said…I don’t need to be thinking crafty thoughts and dreaming crafty dreams….but I just can’t help it.

  1. Yesterday, I dreamed crafty all day… somehow I’ve gotten hooked on the idea of making my own rag rug. I shared this with Clay, who began going down his list of everything I could do that would be more beneficial for the family than making a rag rug.

I said, Do you *not* want me to share my “inner thought” life with you? Because I don’t think you really want to start down that road.

I have other homemaking type projects floating around in my head, too, but maybe that’ll be just between you and me.

My partners in crime: MaryJane Butters and Mary Engelbreit. Oh, and SouleMama. Maybe along with some others. Love ’em.

  2. Hmm.

  3. Renae, I think that you should make your rug. I truly believe that the things that I make help keep me sane because when my projects are done they are done — unlike all the other perpetually unfinished projects (like some of my children) in my life.
