I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. We had a fun one. This year, we just went to see my family in Alabama, and it was the first Christmas Eve/Day that we had spent with them in a long time. It was great and a nice change of scenery from our two bedroom apartment.

Now that we are back, I’m doing some cleaning out and organizational stuff. I have made the decision to educate our oldest son at home during the coming semester and that has spurred me on to getting some things done. I also have some lesson planning to do for that, as well.

So, I’ll come back to blogging more regularly in a week or so, after my little duckies are in a little bit better-looking row. Until then, I wish y’all a Happy New Year! Don’t forget to eat your black-eyed peas, turnip greens, cornbread and pork on that day! By the way, does anyone else think that it is funny that the New Year’s day meal is really similar to our rural Southern grandparents’ regular, everyday, lunches? (Minus the pork, of course.) It is good food, anyway. Of course, none of the boys but the baby will eat the turnip greens, but I digress. Happy New Year, everybody!
