Kid Poetry

sure is fun. Here are two by my 5th grader.

The First and Most Famous Star
Oh sun of beauty,
Sun of light,
Is not ever seen at night.
With nitrogen and helium,
A star it is that burns so bright.
The gases in ’em,
Are pretty light.

UFO
If you see a U.F.O.,
You’re not likely to say hello.
Instead you’ll run,
Might lose a bun.
If you’re asked to ride one say no.

Ah. These were the hoot I needed today.

  1. Those remind me a bit of Ogden Nash. They definitely made me smile. Fantastic!

  2. Great Job, C! Those are very clever!
